I had been practicing yoga for many years prior to teacher training, sometimes, not as often as I would have liked. Jobs, moves, family, at times got in the way. I spent most of my adult life in the banking industry, working long hours and dealing with incredibly stressful and demanding situations. But yoga was always a constant in my life. I knew my practice was always there for me, no matter how hard things got – I could always find peace on my mat.
Becoming a yoga teacher was never a goal, something I never even considered doing – until I became a part of the community at Santosha and met dina Lang. I quickly began experiencing feelings of wanting to become a teacher and pass on the gift of yoga. I was on the fence about attending the training. Dina took the time to meet with me personally and patiently listened to me talk in circles about whether or not teacher training was a good idea for me. I am so happy I made the decision to attend teacher training and haven’t looked back since.
If I only had five words to describe attending dina’s yoga teacher training, they would be: best experience of my life.
I cannot say enough great things about dina’s teacher training – I wish I could do it every year. The minute dina announces a 500 hr yoga teacher training, I will be the first to sign up!
I am teaching several classes a week and am fortunate enough to be a part of the teaching staff at Santosha Yoga. Join me Thursday nights for some Power Vinyasa at 7 p.m. (a guaranteed good time!)
